Barista & Coffee Shop Assistant – Paid £8.00–£12.71 per hour

Overview

This is a minimum 8-hour-per-week role in our Pausa retail stores, where every cup of coffee and moment of service shapes how our customers feel.

At the heart of our success are customer-focused team members who craft exceptional experiences—from pouring perfect coffee to ensuring each meal is served with warmth. The role demands energy, teamwork, and a deep commitment to excellent standards in hygiene, cleanliness, and service.

Salary

  • Under 18s: £8.00 per hour
  • 18+: £12.71 per hour

What You’ll Be Doing

Here’s what makes the day run smoothly for our customers and our team:

  • Hands-on service:
    • Pouring hot and cold beverages with care and precision
    • Crafting and presenting savoury/sweet dishes with attention to detail
    • Maintaining impeccable food temperature to guarantee quality
    • Keeping restaurant tables clean and inviting at all times
  • Health, safety, and hygiene:
    • Strict adherence to all food hygiene and health and safety protocols
    • Ensuring our store remains sparkly clean—from kitchens to seating areas
  • Customer experience:
    • Delivering exceptional service that boosts CSAT (Customer Satisfaction) scores
    • Building genuine connections with both regulars and first-time visitors
    • Working well under busy, fast-paced conditions
  • Teamwork and shared responsibilities:
    • Supporting colleagues as a cohesive unit
    • Collaboratively delivering a joyful, memorable eating experience
