Job Title: Bar Manager – Club Lounge
Location: On-site in Knutsford, Cheshire, North-West England (not remote)
Your Purpose
The Bar Manager will lead the day-to-day operations of our Club Lounge Bar, upholding the hallmark standards of luxury 5-star service. Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering exceptional beverage expertise
- Ensuring operational excellence and sustainable practices
- Developing a high-performing bar team that embodies warmth and intuitive hospitality
- Guaranteeing every guest a memorable, premium service experience across all bar outlets
Responsibilities
Beverage Service & Guest Experience
- Lead full beverage service across the Club Lounge, ensuring refined and outstanding guest experiences.
- Drive revenue through smart menu design, upselling, and cost-effective inventory control.
- Continuously evaluate service quality, product offerings, and industry trends to elevate the bar experience.

Team Management
- Create and manage apprentice rotas, aligning with business demand and budgetary requirements.
- Train, mentor, and develop a high-performing bar team, fostering skill growth and professionalism.
- Conduct performance reviews, development discussions, and team appraisals to align the team with companypref y goals.
- Maintain and update brand-aligned standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency.
Operations & Compliance
- Oversee daily bar operations, ensuring a strong supervision presence and seamless service flow.
- Monitor health, safety, hygiene, and fire regulations to guarantee full compliance.
- Manage stock levels, inventory, and product refreshes to optimise derived guest demand and financial targets.
Financial & Admin Responsibilities
- Support accurate payroll, financial reporting, and revenue forecasting.
- Prepare documentation for wages, payments, and annual budgets.
- Track business performance and contribute to review meetings for continuous improvement.
Culture & Engagement
- Promote a positive, collaborative team culture across the resort, emphasising guest-centric values.
- Encourage cross-departmental teamwork to enhance efficiency and cohesion.

Essential Qualifications
Experience
- Proven experience in a managerial role, ideally in a luxury, premium hospitality, or high-volume environment.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a management capacity within food and beverage or relevant roles, demonstrating proven results.
- Expertise in restaurant and banquet operations across beverage service.
Certifications & Education
- Preferred: Hospitality Management or Food & Beverage qualification.
- Additional advantage: Certifications in food safety, beverage service, or compliance (e.g., Levels 2–3).
Language
- Excellent written, oral, and conversational proficiency in English.
