Job: Bartender (Gallery, Food & Beverage)
Department: Food & Beverage, Gallery Inspired & Supported By: Restaurant General Manager Salary: £21.52/hour (including service charge)
Your Purpose
You are an ambassador for exceptional bar service—crafting memorable, personalised experiences through warm hospitality and mixology expertise.
Your Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Will include (but are not limited to):
Service & Guest Engagement
- Deliver a five-star beverage experience with professionalism and a distinctive personal touch.
- Proactively engage guests about food & bev options across outlets.
- Enthusiastically advise guests on menus and hotel offerings (e.g., promotions, rooms).

Mixology & Delivery
- Mix drinks precisely (based on standardised recipes and Savoy’s service standards).
- Anticipate guest needs and upsell creatively to boost revenue.
Team & Innovation
- Collaborate in bar teams to enhance guest and staff luxury experiences.
- Contribute to beverage menu creativity, sharing mixology knowledge.
Essential Responsibilities
- Deliver timely, high-quality service (artistry and efficiency in bottle service, spirits, cocktails, and wine).
- Manage ticketing accurately and resolve guest issues with empathy.
- Work flexibly to support rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Maintain high standards in cleanliness and presentation of glassware, bar setup, and table service.
Requirements
Essential
- 1–2 years’ experience in luxury hospitality/bartending (or equivalent smaller hotels).
- Leanings in 5★ hospitality:
- Pasion for service excellence and an understanding of its intricacies.
- Natural empathy and ability to build rapport with varied guest interactions.
- Problem-solving mindset—think up solutions ‘on the floor’ without hesitation.
- Resilience: Stay calm, courteous, and efficient under pressure.
- Team player: Adaptable in collaborative environments.
- Fluency in spoken and written English.

- Basic knowledge of:

Flexibility
Savoy values multi-skilling. You may contribute beyond core duties to ensure guest needs are met—some tasks include:
- Assistarians beyond the Gallery (e.g., Barmen Service).
- Provide seamless liaison with F&B teams across the hotel.
