CRITICAL OPPORTUNITY: Food & Beverage Supervisor

Jobs at Dumbleton Hall Hotel: Return to Life Lived Grand

We are seeking a passionate, characterful individual to join our team as a Food & Beverage Supervisor.

We do much more than run a hotel. We steward Dumbleton Hall—a glorious English manor where every guest is welcomed as an honoured family member. Fireside evenings, intimate dining, and timeless traditions all unfold here, keeping a little piece of the Golden Age alive.

As a Food & Beverage Supervisor, you’ll help us create an unforgettable experience—where lifelike Downton Abbey grandeur meets warm, personal hospitality.

Who We Are: Dumbleton Hall: A Manor Reborn

Nested in the heart of the Cotswolds, our storytelling manor weaves together heritage, culture, and evolving traditions. Our prayer book is one that stretches from the literary salons of Charlotte Brontë, Dickens (Household Words), and Charles Darwin to the Mitford sisters’ divas and John Betjeman’s Poet Laureate legacy.

Today, we’re the guardians of this grand narrative—curating moments in garden-side romance, fireside guestrooms, and meticulously plated dining. Our guests are invited to be part of the Dumbleton story, not just to stay.

What Makes Us Unique

Dumbleton Hall offers nothing ordinary. Our ** Unique Selling Proposition** is built on five pillars:

  • Manor Life — Invitational welcome rituals, garden-to-table secrets and fire-lit evening penchants.
  • Culture & Story — Each room, meal, and touchpoint is steeped in history; we bringing literary scraps to life every day.
  • Countryside & Walking — Our estate descends from Gaskell’s North and South heroines and sits at the start of Winchcombe Way’s notable footpaths.
  • Grand Turist Polish — Service refined to invite cultural appraisal even for first-time visitors.
  • Romance — It’s here that wedding dreams and honeymoons unfold among gardens lit by moonlight.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What it’s Like Working at Dumbleton Hall

Our team is the living bridge between our ancestral legacy and guests’ dreams. We share a commitment to making each visit a moment guests will return to year after year.

Our work ethos is based on the Honoured Guest Manifesto:

  • You greet each guest by name.
  • You anticipate their needs discreetly—like the butler in your favourite period drama, but real-life.
  • Our guests expect service that feels personal, layered, and effortlessly elegant—whether by the fireside or at their individual dining tables.
  • Every interaction shapes stories—from the merriment of a toast inside to the serenity of a country-stewed evening.

No back-of-house role is too small to shape our reputation.

Our Cultural Imperative

Dumbleton Hall operates at the nexus of Cotswolds cultural life, hosting a range of extraordinary events:

  • Theatrics — Royal Shakespeare Company and celebrated productions.
  • Excitement of the Cheltenham Festival, with the Gold Cup beneath our window.
  • History with a capital H: country walking, floral festivals, and literary events.

Your role contributes to these grand stage experiences, transforming the regional calendar into memories that last a lifetime.

The Food & Beverage Supervisor: A Vital Pillar in the Storytelling

We’re looking for:

  • Character-Driven Leaders — Warm, articulate, and genuinely guest-focused.
  • Countryside Connoisseurs — Those inspired by heritage, storytelling, and our uniquely poetic hospitality.
  • Polished Proponents — Detail-oriented, emanating pride in your work.
  • Crafters of Craft — Serafically ambitious to develop in service, dining, and grand patterns of experience.
  • Authentic Innovators — Comfortable leading a team to elevate Dumbleton Hall to its rightful position as the Gem of the Cotswolds.

A strong hospitality background is valuable, but not the dealbreaker for us here. Craft matters. Soul matters. A love of culture, guest enchantment and a natural flair for commissioning heroes to thrive, even unforeseen, are necessary.

Why You’ll Thrive Here

Consider this your legacy calling:

  • Become part of the Cotswolds idea—transforming a minor-time stately heritage into one of the most recognised below, a landmark that time forgot little but still twinkles boldly.
  • Work within a team devoted equally to culture, quality and how the guests will first wake up—that is to feel like royalty.
  • Chronicle guest stories and reward team collaborations that cement unforgettable moments.
  • Close to national parks, in a postcard-settled idyll, your work pays off in a tangible barometer of effort and joy.
  • Join a family working in a garden-leaf, lakeside fifty-shades-of-©Garden History setting. Our staff are rewarded with polished support from industry-of-knowledge knowledge within practical skills, phenomenal training, and opportunities to grow organically through enterprise culture—keeping heritage alive with vigor.

Return to Life Lived Grand

We seek more than hands—people who care about guardianship. Guests write on their exit cards “You get what you order—but you leave with meaning.” Only then do we truly relish our craft.
