The Distefano family, spanning two generations, founded San Carlo over 30 years ago. Key Responsibilities
- Greeting customers upon approach and taking drink orders
- Preparing and serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages efficiently
- Checking IDs to ensure age compliance and preventing over-serving
- Maintaining bar standards – cleaning glasses, restocking supplies, and keeping surfaces tidy
- Managing cash & credit transactions – opening/closing tabs and handling change
- Enhancing the customer experience by creating a welcoming, friendly atmosphere
- Engaging with guests – making drink recommendations and answering menu questions
- Monitoring inventory and placing supply orders as needed
- Supporting the bar team by providing guidance and assistance when required

Required Qualifications & Experience
- Proven bartending/bar experience
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Highly organised with attention to spacing key details
- Proactive, self-starter with the ability to work independently and show judgment under minimal supervision
