Fairmont Cheshire, The Mere

Location: On-site in Knutsford, Cheshire, North-West England (not remote)

About the Role

As a Lounge Bar Attendant, you will be the ambassador for exceptional service at the Fairmont Cheshire, The Mere Club Lounge Bar. Your warm, personalised attention, and passion for mixology will enhance the guest experience, ensuring they leave with unforgettable memories.


Key Responsibilities

  • Setup & Maintenance:

    • Set up and maintain the bar area in accordance with standards, guidelines, and Fairmont’s quality procedures.
    • Ensure proper presentation, cleanliness, and functionality of equipment.
  • Guest Experience:

    • Deliver exceptional service, including warm greetings, proactivepser and tailored attention.
    • Promptly take orders to ensure delivery consistency.

  • Beverage & Service:

    • Prepare and serve drinks and snacks efficiently, maintaining proper temperature and emphasis on quality.
    • Creatively craft new cocktails and drinks to enhance the guest experience.
    • Upsell products and promote food and beverage offers to maximise revenue.
  • Operations & Compliance:

    • Handle billing accuracy and process payments professionally.
    • Adhere to HACCP food safety and hygiene standards.
    • Manage stock efficiently, including supply ordering and stock rotation.
  • Guest Relations:

    • Report any guest complaints, incidents, or irregularities immediately to management.
    • Actively seek guest feedback to improve service where needed.
  • Systems & Cost Control:

    • Maintain operational equipment and dispensers in optimal condition.
    • Implement and monitor cost-control procedures.

Flexibility Note: The role involves multi-skilling to accommodate varying operational needs.


Requirements & Qualifications

To excel in this role, you must bring:

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in beverage service, preferably within luxury hospitality.
  • Proficiency in English: strong reading, writing, and verbal communication.
  • A Food & Beverage Certification (if available) for competitive advantage.
