Company Description

Vatavaran is a new luxury Indian dining destination created by Michelin-starred chef Rohit Ghai building on the success of Kutir and Manthan. Located on London’s prestigious Beauchamp Place, the venue offers an immersive experience that transitions from refined daytime dining to vibrant evenings with live music and entertainment. Inspired by the serene landscapes of the Himalayas, Vatavaran is designed as a sanctuary for the senses, blending elevated cuisine with atmospheric design. At the summit of this experience is Shikhar, an intimate cocktail bar that showcases a distinctive cocktail menu celebrating mountain spices and providing regulars and loyal guests with an exclusive space to unwind.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Bartender role based in Harrow. The Bartender will prepare and serve a range of cocktails and beverages, including signature drinks that reflect Vatavaran’s Himalayan-inspired concept, while ensuring consistent quality and presentation.

  • Engaging with guests
  • Recommending drinks
  • Maintaining a clean and well-organized bar
  • Managing stock rotation
  • Following all food and beverage safety standards
  • Accurate cash handling
  • Processing payments
  • Collaborating closely with the front-of-house and kitchen teams to support smooth service during busy shifts and special events

The Bartender is expected to contribute to the lively atmosphere of Shikhar and the restaurant by providing attentive, professional, and welcoming service.

Qualifications

  • Strong Customer Service skills, with a focus on creating welcoming, memorable guest experiences.
  • Effective Communication skills to interact confidently with guests and coordinate with team members.
  • Solid Food & Beverage knowledge, including cocktails, spirits, wines, and hygiene standards.
  • Bartending skills, including drink preparation, menu familiarity, and bar station setup and breakdown.
  • Accurate Cash Handling skills, including operating POS systems and managing payments and tabs.
  • Previous experience in premium or high-volume hospitality environments is highly beneficial.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the venue’s schedule.
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced setting.
