Job Description
Scope of Position
Responsible for bar setup, stocking, and service—ensuring exceptional food and beverage (F&B) experiences for guests at The Guards Bar. You will:
- Set up and restock the bar for each shift
- Prepare and serve alcoholic/non-alcoholic drinks (cocktails, wines, spirits, soft drinks) with unmatched Raffles standards
- Lead/support barbacks while assisting waitstaff and floor teams
- Maintain guest satisfaction from arrival to departure, delivering exceptional experiences
- Collaborate with bar management to develop, implement, and promote seasonal menus/specials

Operation
- Master Guards Bar menu and all served products
- Serve orders quickly and accurately, explaining dishes/drinks to guests with professional knowledge
- Assist floor staff with table setting (plates, cutlery, napkins)
- Bar stocking/restocking + back-of-house management
- Prepare alcoholic/non-alcoholic drinks, adhering to A1-level quality/presentation
- Answer guest questions about menu items knowledgeably and diplomatically
- Proactively check in with guests to take reorders or top up water (delegated by senior staff)
- Ensure all food service complies with ** hygiene/safety regulations**
- Record and relay guest feedback/requests to bar staff
- Champion sustainability (waste reduction, responsible purchasing)
- Cover additional duties if line manager or senior staff are unavailable (e.g., cross-department shifts)
Health & Safety
- Immediate reporting of any hazards or breaches
- Full training/understanding of fires, emergencies, and bomb safety protocols
- Commit to premium standards in guest/property safety—anticipating risks and acting preemptively
- Champion health & safety awareness across all tasks
Qualifications
Essential
- Proven track record of high-pressure service excellence
- Exceptional communication (written/spoken) + customer service prowess
- Time management + ability to multi-task impeccably while maintaining a polished appearance
- Flexibility for 24-hour operations as required

Desirable
- Previous experience in a luxury hotel (LQA, Forbes 5-star or equivalent)
- Familiarity with resort/high-end F&B standards
