Experienced Bartender – Fifth Floor Bar & Espresso Bar, Knightsbridge
Harvey Nichols is seeking an experienced bartender to deliver an exceptional, stylish, and memorable guest experience at our Fifth Floor Bar and Espresso Bar in Knightsbridge. As an ambassador of one of the world’s most prestigious luxury retailers, you will embody our uncompromising service ethos, crafting flawless cocktails, exuding warmth, and elevating every interaction into a truly elevated luxury experience.
About the Role
Working in the iconic Fifth Floor Bar means representing a benchmark of luxury both within and beyond Harper’s Brett leisure. You won’t merely serve drinks—you’ll curate memorable moments, uphold the highest standards, and deliver service that feels effortless, genuine, and effortlessly sophisticated.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver Exceptional Guest Experience
- Provide gracious, attentive, and intuitive service, ensuring every guest feels welcomed promptly and warmly.
- Anticipate guest needs and enhance their experience through confident product knowledge, thoughtful recommendations, and refined service.
- Handle all interactions with courtesy, efficiency, and genuine professionalism, ensuring seamless, end-to-end service.
- Take orders with precision, following each stage of the journey to maintain continuous excellence.

Drinks Preparation & Product Mastery
- Prepare and present cocktails, classics, wines, and espresso drinks swiftly, stylishly, and to Harvey Nichols’ exacting standards.
- Maintain an expert-level knowledge of the drinks menu, allowing you to guide guests, professionally upsell, and address queries with confidence.
- Strict adherence to licensing regulations and responsible service standards.
Sales & Commercial Awareness
- Maximise sales through elegant up-selling, informed recommendations, and a clear understanding of promotions, brand events, and partnerships.
- Ensure all transactions are accurate, processed correctly, and aligned with company procedures.
Operational Excellence
- Maintain a polished, immaculate working environment, ensuring all bar areas are clean, hazard-free, and compliant with health and safety standards.
- Follow food hygiene regulations and report any operational concerns to management promptly.
- Support the bar team in achieving operational targets and delivering consistency.

- Are strong team players and excellent at building working relationships
