Harvey Nichols is looking for an experienced Bartender to deliver an exceptional, stylish and memorable guest experience within the Fifth Floor Bar and Espresso Bar in Knightsbridge. You will embody the Harvey Nichols service ethos, ensuring every guest receives impeccable cocktails, warm hospitality, and an elevated luxury experience.
About the Role
Working in the iconic Fifth Floor Bar means representing one of the most recognised names in luxury retail. Responsibilities
Guest Experience
- Provide gracious, attentive, and intuitive service, ensuring every guest is welcomed promptly and warmly.
- Anticipate guest needs and elevate the experience through confident recommendations and refined service.
- Handle all guest interactions with courtesy, efficiency, and professionalism.
- Take orders accurately, following each stage of the service journey to ensure consistent excellence.

Drinks Preparation & Product Mastery
- Prepare and present cocktails, classics, wines, and specialty beverages swiftly, tidily, and to Harvey Nichols’ exacting standards.
- Maintain an expert-level understanding of the drinks list and menu to guide guests, upsell thoughtfully, and answer questions confidently.
- Uphold all alcohol licensing regulations and responsible service standards.
Sales & Commercial Awareness
- Maximise sales through elegant upselling, informed recommendations, and knowledge of promotions/events.
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently while adhering to company procedures.
Operational Excellence
- Maintain a polished, immaculate bar environment, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and adherence to Health & Safety, hygiene, and compliance standards.
- Report operational or service-related concerns promptly to management.
