Here you will find a laidback, stylish setting, with a bar team that’s as fun as they are friendly. It’s a place where guests feel at home and staff love to work. ABOUT THE ROLE As a Bartender at The Fox, you will play a central role in delivering our bespoke range of beverages to guests across our pubs, and cafes. You will craft and serve an exceptional selection of drinks, from local ales, select wines and seasonal specials, and signature cocktail creations made using the freshest, high-quality ingredients. Your purpose is to bring warm hospitality to every interaction, helping to elevate the guest experience through knowledgeable recommendations, exceptional service, and beautifully crafted drinks. You will maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area, support the wider team during busy periods, and contribute to a positive, energetic working environment reflective of the Bamford Collection ethos. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Craft, prepare, and serve a wide range of beverages, including classic cocktails, bespoke specials, local ales, wines, and seasonal drinks Deliver exceptional guest service with warmth and attentiveness, ensuring every interaction is memorable and aligned with hospitality standards Maintain a clean, organised, and fully stocked bar area, ensuring all equipment, glassware, garnishes, and supplies are service-ready Accurately process drink orders, handle payments, and ensure all transactions are completed correctly Support the team during busy service periods, working collaboratively to ensure efficient operations and a positive guest experience SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS Experience in a bartender or bar‑support role is beneficial, but enthusiasm, passion for drinks, and a willingness to learn are equally valued. Strong knowledge or interest in cocktails, spirits, wines, and local ales, with a desire to develop expertise in artisanal and seasonal drinks. Excellent customer service skills, delivering warm, engaging, and attentive interactions with every guest. Mental Health Support: 24 hour access to our Employee Assistance Programme. *The on target earning potential for this role is £34,162.60 per annum based on a 45-hour contract - comprising a base salary of £30,162.20, plus a qualified estimate of £4,000 in gratuities and service charge. Please note that this role is paid hourly. About gratuities and service charge: Gratuities are paid on a pro rata basis. It is estimated that in 2026 full-time employees can expect to receive in the region of £4,000 in addition to their annual salary.
