Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • Where will I work? Our Security Officers work across a wide range of client sites, retail stores, corporate offices, construction sites, healthcare facilities, residential developments, and more. We match officers to postings that fit their experience and location where possible and we aim to provide varied work rather than posting you to the same single site indefinitely.

  • What support will I receive as soon as I start? Every new officer receives a full induction before their first shift, including a site briefing, introduction to our reporting systems, and a named point of contact in our operations team. You'll never be sent to a site blind, we make sure you have everything you need to be effective from day one.

  • Is there opportunity to progress? Yes. We actively promote from within. Many of our supervisors, operations staff, and senior officers started as Security Officers with Akon. If you have ambitions beyond the officer role, whether that's moving into events, close protection, crisis response, or operations, we'll support your development.
