Battery Technician Role
Due to continued growth and increasing customer demand, we're looking to recruit a Battery Technician to join a busy and expanding engineering team based in Aberdeen.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an electrical background who enjoys hands-on technical work and is looking to develop a career within the critical power industry. Whether you already have battery systems experience or are looking to transfer your skills from a related field, full product and equipment training will be provided.
The role offers a varied mix of onshore and offshore work, carrying out testing, installation and maintenance of industrial battery systems that support critical infrastructure across a range of sectors.

Roles & Responsibilities
The post holder will be required to work both onshore and offshore as determined by the company. Offshore days are not guaranteed and are dependent on customer requirements but will not exceed 180 days per annum.
Offshore Duties
- Conductance / Internal Resistance / Discharge testing of battery systems
- Installation of battery systems
- Compilation of reports
- Recommendations on asset replacement / additional preventative maintenance required
Onshore Duties
- Conductance / Impedance / Discharge testing of battery systems
- Installation of battery systems
- Compilation of reports
- Recommendations on asset replacement / additional preventative maintenance required
The position is anticipated to involve a significant amount of travel including overnight stopovers.

QHSE Responsibilities
- To comply with Norco Group and Client, Quality, Safety and environmental management systems and procedures at all times.
- Ensure that all accidents, incidents, near misses and hazards are immediately reported and relevant paperwork is completed.
Skills & Qualifications
- The post holder should be qualified to HNC level or equivalent, or be qualified as an approved electrician. Training on product and testing equipment will be provided by Norco.
