About the Role
NHS Grampian is now recruiting final-year nursing students (Adult Branch) or newly qualified nurses recently graduating from an NMC-approved undergraduate programme in the UK.
You must be able to commence employment by mid-July.
Nursing students must be in their final year and will transition to a permanent, newly qualified nurse role following graduation.
Support for New Graduate Nurses
NHS Grampian is strongly committed to supporting newly qualified nurses to ensure a smooth transition into practice. As part of your first year, you will receive:
- 2 weeks minimum supernumerary-style time (additional cover allowance for focused learning)
- Support to complete Flying Start®: A structured programme aligned to the four pillars of practice, including four mandatory face-to-face development days.
- Preceptorship (structured mentorship and guidance)
- Values-based reflective practice (development of professional values and evidence-based care)
- Clinical supervision (regular support and feedback)

Selection & Allocation Process
