Business Development Manager – Flight Inspection & Aerial Survey
Location: Brighton City Airport, West Sussex, England Type: Full-time Hybrid | Partner: Specialist Aviation Organisation (Flight Inspection & Aerial Survey)
About the Role
We are seeking a commercially focused aviation professional with expertise in Flight Inspection, Aerial Survey, or related sectors to drive revenue growth both in the UK and internationally. Reporting to senior commercial leadership, the ideal candidate will excel in identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic relationships, and securing high-value, long-term contracts.
Certified by Arden White Verified, this role is perfect for someone with a passion for aviation, strong business development skills, and experience in highly specialised commercial environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Revenue Growth: Protect, identify, and develop new business opportunities globally within Flight Inspection and Aerial Survey markets.
- Lead Generation: Proactively generate new leads via market intelligence, networking, and stakeholder engagement.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including airports, aviation authorities, government bodies, and industry partners.
- **Sales Process:**Own and lead the entire sales lifecycle, from initial engagement to commercial negotiation and contract award.
- Tender Management: Identify, qualify, and manage major tender opportunities across UK and international markets, producing compliant and commercially competitive responses.
- Operational Oversight: Collaborate with operational teams to ensure smooth transition of awarded projects and seamless customer handover.
- Revenue Optimisation: Leverage existing portfolios to maximise utilisation and secure additional revenue streams.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor competition, track industry trends, and use these insights to inform future growth strategy.

About You
We are looking for a candidate who:
- Is commercially driven with a proven record of exceeding sales targets.
- Has relevant experience within Flight Inspection, Aerial Survey, General Aviation, Airports, or related environments.
- Demonstrates significant achievement in either tender management or proactive business development.
- Possesses strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Ideally holds existing knowledge of the UK aerial survey market and experience working with SMEs in a dynamic growth phase.
- Excels in relationship building, communication, and stakeholder management while operating both autonomously and collaboratively.
