Business Development Manager

We’re seeking a Business Development Manager to join our Bristol & South West team. Your role will focus on securing top local restaurants, refining our proposition for customers, and driving rapid growth across South West England and Wales.

Key Responsibilities

You’ll report to the Regional Manager and work within the Regional UK & Ireland team, specialising in markets from Brighton to Belfast. This is an on-the-road role—appearing as the ambassador of Deliveroo to uncover and sign the finest culinary destinations in your region, particularly across Swansea and the surrounding areas.

Typical Day-to-Day Tasks

  • Strategic Prospecting

    • Map, pitch, and close new restaurant partnerships across your region, becoming a city-level expert in identifying and understanding local customer demand.
  • Multi-channel Outreach

    • Engage with restaurant owners through physical visits, calls, and digital platforms, showcasing the value of Deliveroo’s technology and platform benefits.

  • Seamless Onboarding

Key Requirements

Our ideal candidate will combine expertise in the following areas with a curious, adaptable mindset:

  • Sales & Negotiation

    • Proven experience in "hunting" roles, with the ability to craft win-win deals that benefit both restaurants and Deliveroo.
  • Commercial Acumen

    • Strong understanding of food delivery economics, allowing you to meet demanding monthly sales targets.
  • Relationship Building

    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, fostering connections face-to-face, via phone, and through email.
  • Industry Knowledge

    • A genuine passion for food and restaurants, with the ability to demonstrate value to knowledgeable business owners.
  • Mobility & Ownership

    • Self-starting with a valid driving licence and reliable car, comfortable taking complete accountability for your region.
