Make-Up Artist – Prestige Beauty Retail

About the Role

As one of our highly skilled make-up artists, you will bring together your artistic expertise, technical precision, and passion for customer connection to craft a welcoming, inspirational, and personalised experience for every visitor. Your role is central to delighting our customers while contributing to high-impact in-store events, ensuring our stores meet (and exceed) our visual merchandising standards to stand out in a competitive market.

Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored make-up application services aligned with customer preferences, trends, and skincare needs
  • Inspire and educate clients through inclusive, professional consultations, enhancing their confidence and experience
  • Collaborate to create engaging in-store events (product launches, workshops, etc.) that drive sales and enhance store visibility
  • Maintaining high visual merchandising standards for product displays, ensuring displays are attractive and effective
  • Contribute to a positive team culture by actively supporting colleagues in achieving shared performance goals
  • Work across hours including evenings, weekends, and peak events, delivering consistent quality in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

  • A passion for make-up artistry, creativity, and customer-centred service
  • Experience (explicitly prefed but not essential):
    • Certification or training in make-up artistry (any level welcome, including amateur)
    • Retail make-up application experience (preferred but not mandatory)
    • Activity with premium/prestige brands (optional but valued)
  • Soft Skills:
    • Ability to deliver enthusiastic, polite, and authentic customer service
    • Great communication to clearly articulate products and techniques
    • Self-motivation and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced retail setting
  • Practical Abilities:
    • Experience or comfort using retail POS software for product recommendations or transactions
    • Capability to manage beauty products efficiently in high-traffic areas
  • Availability:
    • Willingness to work core business hours, evenings, weekends, and occasion-specific shifts
  • Eligibility (if invited for an interview):
    • Proof of right to live and work in the country
