We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised Beauty Therapy Technician to support teaching and learning in our successful Beauty Therapy department.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with beauty industry experience and strong organisational skills, enabling them to contribute to a dynamic learning environment and help students cultivate practical skills and professional standards for a successful career in beauty.
About The Role
As a Beauty Therapy Technician, you will take a core role in assisting staff and students in our commercial training salons and specialist treatment rooms. Your duties include ensuring that:
- Resources, equipment, and facilities remain maintained to professional standards for teaching, assessments, and commercial operations.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Preparing treatment rooms, equipment, and resources for practical sessions.
- Maintaining commercial training salon cleanliness and ensuring health and safety compliance.
- Managing stock levels, ordering consumables, and maintaining inventory records.
- Supporting teaching staff during practical classes and assessments.
- Maintaining and servicing beauty therapy equipment as required.
- Assisting in organising salon operations and client appointments.
- Ensuring all resources and facilities meet industry and awarding body standards.

About You
Chelmsford College requires the successful candidate to possess the following qualifications and qualities:
Essential Requirements:
- A relevant Beauty Therapy qualification at Level 2 or above.
- Experience working within a beauty therapy or salon environment.
- Knowledge of current beauty industry practices and health and safety requirements.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to supporting student learning and achievement.
