Behavioral Health Therapist II – Glen Mills, PA

ChristianaCare’s Outpatient Behavioral Health Department is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and detail-oriented Behavioral Health Therapist II who:

  • Demonstrates strong clinical expertise
  • Practices trauma-informed care
  • Builds trusting therapeutic relationships with a diverse patient population
  • Is deeply committed to patient-centered outcomes

This role supports our Glen Mills, PA location and provides office-based clinical assessment and mental health therapy for a diverse caseload.


Position Requirements

Licensure & Credentials

  • Must hold active licensure in both Delaware and Pennsylvania.
  • Candidates lacking dual state licensure must demonstrate the ability and willingness to obtain it prior to employment.

Work Schedule

  • Monday–Friday, Day Shift
    • No weekends or holidays
  • Hybrid model (onsite and remote) (remote days subject to change)
  • Hybrid flexibility is based on departmental needs

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct individual psychotherapy and group therapy sessions using evidence-based practices
  • Perform psychosocial evaluations to provide diagnostic impressions and treatment recommendations
  • Develop collaborative treatment plans with the interdisciplinary care team
  • Maintain timely progress updates for physicians and treatment teams
  • Identify milieu deficits and propose appropriate interventions
  • Track patient referrals and coordinate care with medical and psychiatric providers (internal and external)
  • Ensure comprehensive, accurate documentation using healthcare technology
  • Participate in huddles, team meetings, clinical supervision, and community discussions
  • Attend all assigned programs and pursue continuing education to uphold professional standards

Qualifications

  • Master’s or doctoral degree in a field qualifying for licensure/certification
    • LCSW preferred
  • For MFTs & MHCs:
    • At least 2 years (3,000 hours) of post-degree supervised clinical experience
    • Requires independent billing licensure
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in mental health settings preferred

Compensation & Benefits Highlights

  • Annual Salary Range: $68,161.60 – $109,054.40
    • Based on experience, credentials, and qualifications
