Behaviour Mentor – Special Needs School, Uxbridge

Are you a dedicated Behaviour Mentor looking for a rewarding role in a supportive and inclusive SEN environment? An outstanding special needs school in Uxbridge is seeking a passionate Behaviour Mentor to work with students requiring additional support with emotional and behavioural development.


The Role

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will:

  • Provide one:to:one and small group support to students with behavioural and emotional needs.
  • Work closely with teachers and support staff to implement positive behaviour strategies.
  • Develop and deliver tailored interventions to help students manage their emotions and behaviour effectively.
  • Foster a supportive and nurturing environment, helping students build self-confidence and social skills.
  • Act as a positive role model, guiding students towards improved behaviour and engagement in learning.

About You

To succeed as a Behaviour Mentor, you will:

  • Have experience working with children or young people, preferably in an SEN or behavioural support role.
  • Be patient, empathetic, and committed to helping students overcome challenges.
  • Possess strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Be confident in implementing behaviour management techniques and de-escalation strategies.
  • Be adaptable, proactive, and able to work effectively within a team.
