Hours of work: 32.5 Working pattern: Part-time, term-time only (As the position is part-time/term-time only, the above salary will be pro rata)

We are a special school for pupils with Autism, Communication and Associated Learning Difficulties. We wish to appoint an enthusiastic, flexible and innovative Behaviour Support Worker to join our staff team. The successful candidate will support pupils to manage their emotions using personalised strategies, enabling them to regulate and return to learning. This role includes working in the Nurture Provision and across the school site.

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Supporting pupils within the Blue Room and across the wider school 

  • Responding to behaviour incidents and supporting emotional regulation 

  • Supporting pupils during break and lunchtime 

  • Implementing behaviour plans under guidance of the Behaviour Lead 

  • Supporting detentions and targeted interventions 

  • Recording safeguarding concerns using CPOMS 

  • Working closely with staff, families, and external agencies 

The successful candidate will demonstrate: 

  • Knowledge and understanding of young people with SEN, including Autism 

  • Experience supporting pupils requiring additional support and intervention 

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team 

  • Strong communication skills and calm, adaptable approach
