About the Role

A welcoming and inclusive Special Needs School in Warwick is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join their team full-time from September 2026.

The School supports pupils aged 4–11 with a range of additional needs, including:

  • Autism (ASC)
  • ADHD
  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
  • Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow statutory safeguarding guidance in line with KCSIE
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
  • Provide 1:1 and small group behavioural support
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
  • Support pupils in managing emotions and behaviour using consistent strategies
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, SEN staff, and external professionals
  • Encourage positive engagement in lessons and school activities
  • Record and monitor pupil progress and behaviour
  • Complete administrative tasks as required

Ideal Candidate

  • Holds a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or higher
  • Minimum of 3 months’ experience working with children in an educational setting
  • Experience supporting children with SEND and challenging behaviour
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive and flexible approach to supporting learning
