Behaviour Mentor / Youth Mentor – Tower Hamlets – Immediate Start
This specialist provision in Tower Hamlets is seeking a confident and resilient Behaviour Mentor / Youth Mentor to join their team on a full-time, temp-to-perm basis. Supporting students with SEMH needs, behavioural challenges, and barriers to learning, the school is looking for strong role models who can build positive relationships, provide consistency, and help young people make positive choices both inside and outside the classroom. Behaviour Mentor / Youth Mentor – The Role
• Build strong and positive relationships with students who require additional support • Act as a positive role model and mentor throughout the school day • Support behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies • Deliver intervention sessions focused on engagement, confidence, and personal development • Provide classroom support and cover lessons when required • Work closely with teachers, pastoral teams, and external professionals
Behaviour Mentor / Youth Mentor – What the School is Looking For
The ideal candidate will have experience working with young people in education, youth work, coaching, sports, mentoring, community outreach, residential care, or similar settings. The school is seeking a confident, proactive, and resilient individual who can establish boundaries, earn respect, and engage students who may be disengaged from education. Strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential.
