Role Overview

As a Behavioural Designer, you will lead the application of behavioural design across client projects, translating behavioural science into impactful, real-world interventions. You will be responsible for consistently delivering high-quality design solutions across a variety of touchpoints, while also pushing the boundaries of how behavioural design is applied. This includes developing new approaches, contributing to frameworks, and elevating the design capability of the wider team.

Key Responsibilities

Quality of Thinking & Output

  • Take ownership of the timely delivery of high-quality behavioural design work across projects
  • Lead on key sections or entire deliverables, ensuring outputs are both conceptually strong and commercially effective
  • Translate behavioural insights into clear, compelling, and well-crafted design solutions

Behavioural Design Expertise

  • Apply behavioural science principles to design across multiple touchpoints, including communications, UX, physical environments, and service experiences
  • Develop new ways of applying behavioural design within client work, pushing beyond standard approaches
  • Continuously expand your design skillset, including areas such as AI, prototyping, and motion/animation

Client Orientation

  • Build a strong understanding of client contexts, challenges, and strategic objectives
  • Align design outputs to client goals, ensuring relevance and impact
  • Confidently present and defend work, adapting communication style to different audiences
  • Develop and strengthen client relationships over time

Commercial Contribution

  • Contribute to the team’s revenue pipeline through high-quality work that supports project conversion
  • Support scoping and development of proposals
  • Lead smaller projects where appropriate, ensuring both delivery quality and commercial viability

People & Collaboration

  • Act as a reliable and trusted team member, supporting Managers and Leads across projects
  • Be a role model for junior team members, setting high standards for quality and behaviour
  • Contribute to a collaborative, supportive, and high-performing team environment

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop)

Experience

  • Proven experience delivering conceptually driven design solutions rooted in behavioural insight
  • Experience applying behavioural science frameworks within design projects
  • Strong client-facing experience, including presenting and defending design decisions
  • Experience working across varied touchpoints and sectors

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to bring behavioural thinking to life
  • Strong collaboration skills within multidisciplinary teams
  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability
  • Curious, proactive, and driven to innovate within behavioural design
