Bench Joiner (Minimum 5 Years' Experience)

Location: West Yorkshire

Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent
Salary: Competitive (DOE) + Overtime Available

P.E.C. is a growing commercial fit-out, refurbishment and specialist joinery contractor delivering high-quality projects across the UK. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Bench Joiner with a minimum of 5 years' workshop experience to join our expanding team.

If you take pride in producing exceptional craftsmanship, enjoy working on bespoke projects, and can manufacture high-quality joinery from technical drawings, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role

Working within our workshop, you will be responsible for manufacturing bespoke joinery, cabinetry, furniture and timber products for a wide range of commercial and residential projects.

You'll be working alongside a skilled team where quality, precision and attention to detail are at the heart of everything we do.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manufacture bespoke joinery, cabinetry, furniture and timber products to an exceptional standard.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, cutting lists and specifications accurately.
  • Measure, machine, cut and assemble timber components with precision.
  • Operate woodworking machinery safely and efficiently, including:
    • Panel saws
    • Spindle moulders
    • Edge banders
    • Routers
    • Sanders
    • Drills
  • Carry out finishing, fitting and quality inspections before dispatch.
  • Assist with on-site installation when required.
  • Work closely with Project Managers and installation teams to meet project deadlines.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop.
  • Follow all Health & Safety procedures and company standards.

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' proven Bench Joinery experience.
  • Level 3 Joinery qualification.
  • Own hand tools.
  • Ability to work independently from technical drawings.
  • Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work.
  • Strong understanding of traditional and modern joinery techniques.
  • Experience operating woodworking machinery safely.
  • Good knowledge of timber materials and construction methods.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physically fit and capable of manual handling.
  • Full UK Driving Licence preferred.

Desirable Experience

  • Commercial fit-out or shopfitting.
  • Working with laminates, veneers, Corian or solid surface materials.
  • Site installation experience.
