Location: Basildon, Essex Salary: £40,000 – £41,548 p/a (£41,500 pro-rata + overtime, £18.80/hour) Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm Type: On-site
About the Role
A leading specialist fit-out manufacturer in Basildon seeks an experienced Bench Joiner to join their Specialist Projects team.You’ll operate from a modern facility, crafting high-quality bespoke joinery for prestigious commercial projects across London.
This opportunity is ideal for a skilled, time-served Bench Joiner who values precision craftsmanship and enjoys working on high-end joinery.

- Manufacture and assemble bespoke joinery components
- Work from detailed technical drawings and production plans
- Operate woodworking machinery (e.g. panel saws, planer/thicknessers)
- Produce shaped and profiled joinery components to a high standard
- Label and prepare completed work for the Spray Shop or Quality Control
- Maintain quality standards and support other factory departments when required
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Proven experience as a Bench Joiner, Cabinet Maker, or Joiner
- Time-served apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in Bench Joinery (or equivalent)
- Competency with woodworking machinery
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong craftsmanship
- Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work well in a team
