We are looking for several Domestic Assistants to join our team at Beverly Lodge on either a full time (28 hrs per week) or a part time (14 hrs per week)contract.
The shift times are from 8am-3pm between Monday to Sunday.

Duties & Responsibilities
The post holder is responsible for the cleanliness of the whole Home and will therefore:
- Maintain high standards of efficiency and cleanliness expected within all areas of the Home and in particular their designated cleaning area.
- Ensure that all areas of the Home are cleaned using an organised schedule of work and work in other areas of the Home as requested by the Home Manager.
- Ensure the Residents’/Patients’ confidentiality is maintained at all times.
- Ensure the Residents’/Patients’ privacy, dignity and choice is respected, therefore knock when entering bedrooms, do not clean a room if a Resident/Patient is eating in their room.
- Respect the Residents’/Patients’ personal belongings.
- Ensure plants are kept watered and flowers are attended to.
- Ensure that all areas to be cleaned daily, weekly etc., are cleaned and if not report to Home Manager/Nurse in charge.
- Ensure vacant rooms are thoroughly cleaned as soon as they are vacated.
- Report all breakages or broken furniture to Home Manager/Nurse in charge.
- Report all faulty equipment/repairs/replacements in the Maintenance book. Report all accidents, incidents and near misses to the home Manager/Nurse in charge.
- Update the Home Manager as to deficits in relation to the décor.
- Attend staff meetings as organised by the Home Manager.
- Attend all required staff training as organised by the Home Manager.
Health and Safety
- Be aware of the Home’s Health and Safety Policy and ensure compliance with same.
- Take appropriate precautions in relation to cross infection.
- Wear appropriate personal, protective equipment/clothing if required as per COSHH guidelines.
- Ensure safety signs are displayed when necessary e.g. wet floor.
- Maintain all equipment in good, clean, working order. If any faults occur in the equipment do not use and report to Home Manager.
- Adhere to Home’s Fire Safety Policy at all times.
- Adhere to Home’s Policy on COSHH.
- Adhere to Home Policy on Moving and Handling.
- Any other duties deemed reasonable by the Home Manager.

- Previous experience working within a Nursing Home environment.
