**Governance Office – Governance Information Manager


Branch:

Salary & Contract:

💰 Salary: £47,810 - £54,710 per annum (Band 7) 🔹 Contract Type: Permanent

Role Overview

The Governance Office at Elliot Dynes is seeking a Governance Information Manager within the Band 7 pay band. You'll play a crucial role in providing accurate administrative and information governance support to assist with the ongoing functioning of the trust. Key responsibilities include:

  • ⚖️ Ensuring compliance with governance frameworks and regulations.
  • 📝 Maintaining accurate, up-to-date documentation for governance records.
  • 🔖 Supporting adherence to policies and data protection processes.
  • 📱 Assisting with information requests from internal and external stakeholders.

About the Role

The Governance Information Manager will:

  • Support the single governance team in reducing and managing risks associated with health and care activities.
  • Work closely with operational staff in information services to ensure data privacy and governance standards are upheld in line with Health Service Executive (HSE) and NI Health and Social Care (HSCT) policies.
  • Manage confidentiality measures, including handling sensitive information securely.
  • Maintain trust and integrity in governance processes by ensuring compliance is transparent and robust.

Key Responsibilities

✔ Maintain documentation for governance-related activities to support evidence-based decision-making. ✔ Communicate effectively with teams to ensure policies are clear, implemented, and consistently applied. ✔ Support disclosure reporting and retrieval of historical records as required. ✔ Assist with the finalisation of policy and procedures to ensure alignment with governance standards. ✔ Monitor risks and monitor internal governance audit mechanisms. ✔ Provide user support to enable organisational teams to meet governance requirements effortlessly.


Essential Requirements

▪ Degree-level education (or equivalent) in a governance-related field or relevant IT/healthcare administration. ▪ Experience in health or social care governance (or related public services sector). ▪ Understanding of data protection, confidentiality, and information governance principles. ▪ Familiarity with HSC policies, including health informatics and compliance frameworks. ▪ Excellent organisational skills, with attention to detail and high integrity. ▪ Ability to support multi-disciplinary teams and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. ▪ Confidence managing sensitive information while ensuring compliance with healthcare legislation.


** Desirable Experience**

🔸 Prior experience in managing governance-related records or data. 🔹 Background in digital transformation or healthcare confirmity. 📌 Proficiency with governance software (e.g. Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems). 🐐 Familiarity with audit compliance frameworks or CQC requirements. 🎖️ A certification in governance, cybersecurity, or information management would be beneficial.
