Main Purpose of the Job

Lead the planning and delivery of data-driven initiatives across the organisation. Support and improve data quality, accessibility, and reporting processes.

Support the IT team to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.

Main Duties

  • Support the delivery of data initiatives, including reporting, process improvements, and system enhancements.
  • Coordinate work across teams, ensuring clear communication between technical and non-technical staff.
  • Translate business needs into clear data and system requirements.
  • Support and improve data quality, accessibility, and reporting processes.
  • Provide day-to-day IT support across office and warehouse teams.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards.
  • Work with MSSQL data sources.
  • Help automate business reporting and improve data quality.

Collaborate with the Head of IT to gain understanding of existing systems and infrastructure:

  • Actively engage in training and knowledge transfer with the Head of IT on:
    • In-house systems development and management.
    • Existing data structures and workflows.
    • Hardware and infrastructure used within the organisation.
  • Develop a strong understanding of both software and hardware environments to support ongoing projects and future improvements.

Key Results

  • Support and improve data quality, accessibility, and reporting processes and provide holiday cover and additional support to Head of IT.

Essential

  • IT support experience (1st/2nd line)
  • Strong MSSQL Server and Power BI skills
  • Confident working with users and stakeholders
  • Organised, proactive, and adaptable
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Willingness to learn and develop understanding of technical systems.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Exposure to data tools (e.g., Excel, MSSQL, Power BI, or similar).
  • Experience working across cross-functional teams.
  • Interest in developing broader technical knowledge.

Desirable (training will be provided)

  • Manufacturing and/or Timber industry knowledge
