Business Intelligence Developer

A Home for Rare Characters

We’re seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to enhance our reporting and insights capabilities by delivering trusted BI solutions across the organisation. You’ll work at the core of our data platform, supporting critical business processes and ensuring reports are accurate, reliable, and aligned with governance standards.

Your role involves collaborating closely with stakeholders—across Technology and the wider business—to refine and maintain reports, validate requirements, and guarantee solutions meet both technical and business needs. You’ll contribute to shaping our BI, data, and insights capabilities.

Working alongside data, reporting, and analytics teams, you’ll drive improvements in data structure, accessibility, and usage to empower data-driven decision-making.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the integrity and governance of the data platform to deliver trusted reporting and insights.
  • Reviewing and validating reporting requirements, identifying risks, gaps, and impacts on existing data models.
  • Designing and developing BI solutions leveraging strong data modelling and platform expertise.
  • Creating and maintaining documentation, including report design specs, testing templates, and technical guides.
  • Supporting critical business cycles such as forecasting, budgeting, and year-end reporting solutions.
  • Managing the end-to-end development and deployment of BI content throughout its lifecycle.
  • Ensuring solutions align with governance principles and service delivery standards.
  • Driving process efficiency, system performance, and quality improvements in BI workflows.
  • Promoting adoption of BI tools and advocating for data-led decision-making across stakeholders.
  • Documenting processes clearly and sharing knowledge with the team.
  • Providing full lifecycle support for BI applications to maintain system availability and service levels.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
