About the Role

We are looking for a strong BI developer who can sit close to the customer and own reporting from specification through to a built, validated output. The role centres on Tableau development, connecting to mySQL and other data sources to build new dashboards and tailor existing ones, alongside the data transformation work that feeds them. It is a hands-on, delivery-focused role for someone who is comfortable taking a reporting requirement directly from a customer, scoping and documenting it, and building it.

You will sit within the delivery team and will be customer-facing by design. You will pick up specifications, run alongside delivery colleagues, and take on the data transformation activities that turn raw source data into reporting-ready structures, so that reporting development happens close to delivery rather than being handed between functions.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Partner with customers and delivery colleagues to capture and define reporting requirements
  • Turn requirements into clear, structured build plans with agreed scope and outcomes
  • Design and develop Tableau dashboards, both new and existing, using SQL Server and other data sources
  • Build and maintain data transformation workflows (ETL), ensuring data is reporting-ready (currently using KNIME)
  • Deliver reporting alongside project teams, communicating progress, risks, and trade-offs clearly
  • Apply practical data validation checks and highlight any data limitations transparently
  • Improve and evolve existing reporting solutions where appropriate
  • Contribute to reusable templates, standards, and best practices

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
