Join Our Team as a BI Reporting Analyst
Location: Chesterfield, Derbyshire
An exciting opportunity has come available for a BI Reporting Analyst to join the Insight & Analytics team at Brightwell.
In this key role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality Business Intelligence and Management Information to support Brightwell’s Member Services function, with a strong focus on Power BI. You'll work closely with stakeholders across the business, including the Head of Pensions Delivery, to drive data-led decision-making and continuous improvement.
What you’ll do:
- Support the Operational Insight Manager and business stakeholders in defining MI reporting requirements.
- Support the Head of Planning & Reporting in defining the right KPIs and operational metrics to meet our corporate objectives and client deliverables.
- Recommend, build and continually develop reporting outputs that enable performance to be managed and improved, presenting updates and seeking feedback from stakeholders.
- Maintain a pipeline of development and analytical work in line with agreed priorities as defined by the Head of Planning & Reporting.
- Provide data and analytical support across the Planning & Reporting team as required to facilitate delivery of team outputs including capacity plans, member data reports and change impact analyses.

- Able to effectively manage and prioritise their workstack, recognising the importance of maintaining visible progress.

This role would suit someone who:
- Our technology stack is primarily Microsoft based (SQL Server, Power BI, MS Teams, SharePoint etc). Hands on experience of Power BI development including data modelling and report development using DAX and Power Query (M).
- The ability to build and improve complex SQL scripts to extract data from source systems (SQL Server).
- Working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word, with a high degree of competency in using them in the production of reports.
- Excellent numeric and data manipulation skills.
- A proven track record in business intelligence, ideally within pensions or a financial services or regulated industry.
Desirable
- A basic knowledge and understanding of the range of services provided by capacity planning, business insight and quality assurance functions.
- Experience utilising R or Python.
- ETL experience with JSON API’s and building and maintaining SQL server stored procedures.
