Role Description

The Bicycle Mechanic role is a full-time, on-site position based in London. The Bicycle Mechanic will inspect, diagnose, and repair a wide range of bicycles and ebikes including performing routine maintenance, tuning gears and brakes, replacing parts, and ensuring overall safety and performance.

  • Assembling new bikes
  • Conducting pre-delivery checks
  • Keeping accurate records of services performed

The role also involves:

  • Advising customers on maintenance needs
  • Explaining repair options
  • Ensuring a high standard of customer service

The Mechanic will help maintain a clean, organized workshop and collaborate with team members to manage workflow and inventory.

Qualifications

  • Practical experience and strong skills in Bicycle Repair, eBike Repair, and working with different types of Bikes and Bicycle components.
  • Clear and professional Communication skills to explain technical issues and repair options to customers and colleagues.
  • Basic mechanical skills and familiarity with common bicycle tools, parts, and safety standards.
  • Ability to diagnose issues efficiently, prioritise tasks, and work accurately in a fast-paced workshop environment.
  • Customer service orientation, reliability, and a positive, collaborative approach to working in a team.
  • Prior experience in a bike shop or similar setting is beneficial; relevant training or certifications in bicycle mechanics are a plus.
