Job Title: Bid and Contracts Analyst AD24
Location: Farnborough
Our Vision & Why It Matters
At Alexander Dennis, our vision is to lead the evolution of sustainable on-road mass transportation and mobility.
We design, deliver, and support market-leading buses and coaches that help reduce emissions, improve air quality, and keep communities connected. Every role contributes to that mission whether you're engineering, driving sales, improving production, or supporting our customers.
What You'll Do
As Bid & Contracts Analyst, you'll play a pivotal role in driving profitable aftermarket growth across AD24. Acting as a central commercial integrator, you'll lead the development of winning bids, robust commercial proposals, and effective contract governance that support our Parts and Service business.
You'll work across multiple functions to translate strategic objectives into executable commercial plans, providing data-driven insight, pricing support, and performance analysis that enable informed decision-making. From identifying opportunities and developing compelling tenders to supporting contract mobilisation and performance tracking, you'll help ensure our commercial activities deliver sustainable growth and exceptional customer value.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for a commercially minded and highly analytical professional with experience in bid management, commercial analysis, or contract management.
You'll be comfortable managing complex tenders, developing pricing models, and interpreting business data to drive commercial decisions. With excellent stakeholder management skills, you'll be able to coordinate multiple workstreams, influence key decision-makers, and ensure projects are delivered to high standards and tight deadlines.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
