We're seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Bid Excellence Manager to join our team, responsible for leading the development of high-quality, customer-centric bid responses for priority UK&I opportunities. Working with Sales and Central functions, the bid excellence manager ensures each proposal has a clear strategy, compelling value proposition, strong storyline and compliant delivery process.
What You'll Do
In this business-critical role you will directly support delivery of our growth strategy by leading and coordinating high-quality bid submissions, supporting strategic customer renewals, and providing specialist bid expertise across the business.
- Support both opportunity-specific bid delivery and the wider development of DHL Supply Chain's bid capability through best-practice tools, content management, stakeholder coaching and bid governance.
- Working on bids from early capture and pursuit stages through to submission.
- Contribute to improving bid quality, win performance and customer experience across the UK&I business.
- This role incorporates the three main elements of Bid lifecycles including Bid Writing; Internal project management; and Value position.
- Responsibilities outside of a typical Bid Management role that gives individuals an opportunity not just to apply best practice but to develop and upskill bid experts within the organisation.
- Attending and facilitating pre-tender meetings with key stakeholders to influence the bid position.

What You'll Bring
- Experience of managing complex bids, proposals and strategic pursuits across both the private and public sector.
- Experience of Supply Chain would be advantageous.
- Understanding of key functions - Solution Design, Operations and Finance in logistics - desirable.
- Experience in managing and creating bids, ideally gained within the Supply Chain or Logistics industry with or evidence of the key skillsets required attained through similar roles.
- An understanding of a self-service bid tool and RFI database with the ability to manage and progress the evolution of both.
- Strong proposal writing, editing and storytelling capabilities.
- Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills, and a proficient user of Microsoft Office, with advanced knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, ADOBE and Excel.
