About the company
We are looking for an experienced Bid Manager to join our Oxford Pre Construction team. This role is ideally suited to someone with a strong technical background who can develop robust tender programmes and practical logistical strategies, working collaboratively with the wider bid team.
It is particularly well suited to individuals with site, project, or contracts management experience who are looking to transition from project delivery into a work-winning environment.
About the role
You’ll be responsible for:
- Leading the end-to-end bid process, from initial enquiry through to submission
- Producing high-quality, tailored tender submissions aligned to client requirements and project drivers
- Working closely with estimators, operational teams, and supply chain partners to ensure full compliance with Employer’s requirements
- Preparing comprehensive optimum tender programmes, logistical plans, and qualitative responses
- Identifying and proposing alternative methodologies, sequencing, or materials to enhance our competitive position

What you will bring:
- Strong project management and organisational skills
- A solid technical understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and delivery risks
- The ability to interrogate design and programme to develop credible, deliverable solutions
- Experience contributing to successful bids and/or working within regional or national frameworks
- A collaborative approach, with the confidence to challenge and add value
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Bid Management or an operational project/site management role
- Degree in Construction Management or a related discipline (preferred)
- Strong IT capability, including Microsoft Office and familiarity with InDesign (Photoshop beneficial)
Benefits (subject to completion of introductory period of up to 6 months):
- 27 days Annual Leave plus bank holidays
