Recruiting for an Experienced Bid Manager for a Tier 1 Contractor on the South Coast
The business is an established entity across the UK, renowned for their honesty and quality of delivery. They are trusted by the supply chain and suppliers as a preferred partner.
They operate exclusively on framework and negotiated schemes in the Education, Care, NHS, MOD, MOJ, and local authority sectors, with projects ranging from GBP20 to GBP90 million. They work on a two-stage basis.
Role Overview
As a Bid Manager, you will join an existing preconstruction team, participating in the initial stages of selecting which bids to target. They are selective and only pursue bids that they are confident they can deliver successfully for the client. Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with the preconstruction team to devise and strategize the best possible bid for the first stage.
- Assisting in presenting the bid and, if successful, leading the process through the second stage.
- Working with the estimating and design teams.
- Serving as the primary client contact for all inquiries.

Requirements
- Experience in managing large, complex bids.
- Experience with two-stage schemes is advantageous.
- Ability to understand technical queries and confidently write and produce detailed bids.
- Skill in creating quality, detailed, and technical content, including the initial PQQ for clients.
