Our team of highly skilled and hardworking specialists delivers innovative solutions to the complex challenges our clients face.
Our company is split into two business areas:
- Utility Infrastructure – Our team of Utility Infrastructure specialists design, build and maintain critical water, energy (gas), power, and telecoms infrastructure for the UK’s largest network owners and operators.
- Social Infrastructure – Our team of Social Infrastructure specialists revitalises homes and communities by carrying out a wide range of work, from retrofit to refurbishment and maintenance.
Job Description
We have an exciting Bid Manager opportunity within our Infrastructure division, working with some of the country's largest network operators and private sector clients.

Our team delivers the engineering, construction, and maintenance of these critical energy infrastructure systems. In this role, you will be pivotal in winning project tenders that fuel businesses, keep homes warm, and support sustainable energy generation.

As a Senior Bid Manager, you will lead complex submissions that directly impact the quality of clean water for homes and businesses, reduce flooding during heavy rainfall, and protect our natural environment.
Requirements
We are interested in hearing from candidates who:
- Have experience in bid management within construction, engineering, or major infrastructure projects
- Possess exceptional writing skills capable of crafting compelling, client-focused submissions
- Have a proven track record of managing end-to-end bid processes, ideally on high-value or technically complex projects
- Bring strategic thinking and the ability to articulate clear win themes and value propositions
- Are passionate about shaping the future of energy and water systems through innovative infrastructure solutions
Key Responsibilities
As a member of the work-winning function, you will manage the end-to-end bid process, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality, winning submissions. You will be responsible for:

- Leading and facilitating bid strategy sessions, kick-off meetings, workshops, and senior review panels
- Interpreting client requirements and translating them into winning strategies and compliant responses
- Overseeing the production of compelling, well-structured responses that differentiate our offering
- Collaborating closely with directors, subject matter experts, and delivery teams to define win themes and value propositions
- Managing multiple in-framework bids simultaneously, ensuring consistency, compliance, and quality
- Engaging with live projects to gather insights and evidence for persuasive case studies and success stories
Qualifications
- A degree in a relevant subject (e.g., English, marketing, engineering, or construction) or equivalent demonstrable experience
- Experience in bid management, ideally within infrastructure, utilities, or engineering services
- Professional certification and/or formal bid management training (e.g., APMP Practitioner or higher) is highly desirable
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
