Bid Manager
London
Design & Build Leader
We are partnering with a premier, high-end design-build and fit-out firm in London to find a strategic, high-calibre Bid & Pursuits Manager.
Unlike traditional main contracting roles, this position sits at the intersection of stunning creative capability, and solid construction delivery. The client is a rapidly growing, design-led business looking for a bid specialist who can translate complex spatial concepts and technical methodologies into high-scoring, visually beautiful proposals.
The Brief & Profile
Our client needs a proactive storyteller who can own the entire bid lifecycle. They aren't looking for a "form-filler", they need a proactive individual who can challenge the status quo, facilitate workshops, and organise our pitch teams.
Absolute Must-Haves:
- Sector Experience: 4+ years of bid management experience specifically within design-build, interior fit-out, architecture, or main contracting.
- Software: Proven proficiency in Adobe InDesign is essential, as the bids are highly visual and design-centric.
- Writing Ability: Exceptional copywriter who can turn technical construction jargon and design concepts into compelling, client-facing prose.
- Location: Central London

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
