If so, Opencast could be the place for you. We’re a growing tech consultancy that creates user-centred solutions with purpose for our clients in government and business.
The Role
We’re looking for a Bid Manager to join the Opencast Bid Team. The ideal candidate will have experience managing proposals across the procurement lifecycle, from EOI/RFI through to ITT. Opencast works with both public sector and private sector clients, so an understanding of Government frameworks (e.g., DOS, G-Cloud, DSP) and/or private sector procurement will be helpful.
This role involves:
- Planning and coordinating the end-to-end delivery of proposal responses of varying size, complexity, and value.
- Collaborating with colleagues across wider Opencast teams and partner organisations to manage, prepare, format, and submit winning proposals.
- Leading key bid activities, including:
- Kick-off meetings
- Storyboarding sessions
- Content reviews
- Sign-off processes
- Bid retrospectives
- Working closely with a diverse range of stakeholders and subject matter experts, and leading activities across the bidding lifecycle.
- Contributing to presentations and continuous improvement activities, leading on and/or contributing to process improvements.
Essential Experience
We’re looking for candidates who demonstrate:
- Experience in bid management, with strong time management, attention to detail, and communication skills.
- A good understanding of the procurement lifecycle.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
