Bid Manager - Retail & Hospitality
As part of delivering on our ambitious growth journey, we are now seeking a commercially minded and driven Bid Manager to join our Hospitality & Retail team. This is a brand-new role, created to support the continued growth of the vertical and to help us identify, qualify and convert tender opportunities across the Hospitality & Retail sector.
Working closely with the broader Hospitality & Retail commercial team, this person will play a key role in supporting our go-to-market strategy for ENGAGE, one of Attensi’s core products for the sector. The role will focus on sourcing relevant tender opportunities, managing high-quality bid and proposal responses, and helping position Attensi’s value proposition to some of the leading brands in hospitality, leisure and retail.

What will you do? The very first thing you will do once you join us is to get to know and love our products, values, people and way of operating. We want you to get under the skin of our business and truly understand the value we provide our customers, so that you can approach your role with genuine excitement and confidence.
Beyond that, your role will largely revolve around activities such as: Identifying, tracking and qualifying relevant tender opportunities across the Hospitality & Retail sector, with a particular focus on opportunities suited to Attensi ENGAGE. Working closely with the Hospitality & Retail commercial team to support the growth of ENGAGE as a central part of the sector go-to-market strategy. Leading and coordinating high-quality tender responses, proposals, RFPs and commercial submissions. Partnering with Business Development, Account Management, Customer Success, Product and Solution teams to gather insight and shape compelling, value-led responses. Mapping customer challenges, training and development needs, and operational priorities in order to position Attensi in a relevant and impactful way. Building relationships with internal stakeholders and helping coordinate the right input from across the business to support successful bid submissions. Creating clear, persuasive and customer-specific proposals that communicate Attensi’s value proposition and demonstrate measurable business impact. Developing reusable bid materials, proposal templates, case studies and sector-specific messaging to support the Hospitality & Retail team. Embracing and learning about the challenges, trends and buying dynamics of the Hospitality & Retail industry. Supporting post-submission activity, including clarifications, presentations, follow-ups and handovers to the relevant commercial team members. Helping drive knowledge about Attensi in the Hospitality & Retail space through insight, research and a strong understanding of the market.

Who are you? We are looking for someone smart, relationship orientated, analytical, commercial and empathetic, comfortable in challenging assumptions and building value-driven insight. You are an excellent communicator and able to turn complex information into clear, compelling and customer-specific proposals. You are organised, proactive and comfortable working with multiple stakeholders to deliver high-quality work against deadlines.
You bring energy and engagement to work, and thrive when spending your days in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, working closely with other people. As this is a new role, you will also be excited by the opportunity to shape how we identify, manage and convert tender opportunities within the Hospitality & Retail sector.
We are particularly excited by people who bring experience from account management, bid management, proposal management or commercial customer management, especially within Hospitality, Leisure, Retail, SaaS, learning technology or other technology-led environments. You will be able to empathise with our prospects’ learning goals, operational challenges and business priorities, and credibly translate these into tailored value propositions.

Experience Experience in account management, bid management, proposal management, commercial operations or a similar customer-facing commercial role. Strong written communication skills, with the ability to create clear, persuasive and customer-specific proposals. A commercial mindset, with the ability to understand customer challenges, buying motivations and value drivers. Strong organisational skills and confidence managing deadlines, inputs and stakeholders across multiple workstreams. Experience working collaboratively with sales, account management, customer success, product and/or delivery teams. Confidence interpreting tender requirements and shaping responses that are both compliant and commercially compelling. A strong interest in the Hospitality & Retail sector and the operational challenges faced by large, distributed workforces. High attention to detail, while maintaining a clear focus on the broader commercial opportunity. The confidence to challenge assumptions and push for stronger, more value-led messaging. Energy, curiosity and adaptability in a role that will evolve as the Hospitality & Retail go-to-market strategy develops.
