Bid Operations Consultant - Enterprise SaaS (Contract)

Our client, a fast-growing enterprise SaaS business, are looking for an experienced bid operations specialist to bring structure and consistency to their current bid and proposal process.

This isn't a traditional Bid Manager role. You will be someone who has built a bid operations function before, not just worked within one, and can do it again here, largely independently, while still supporting live deal activity.

Please note that this is a fully remote contract role that is requiring an immediate start!

Bid Operations Consultant Responsibilities

  • Reviewing and auditing our existing bid and proposal documentation
  • Designing a standardised bid process and document structure
  • Building a suite of proposal templates
  • Standardising Statements of Work, annexes and supporting documentation
  • Creating a centralised library of reusable bid content
  • Supporting live RFP activity while this foundational work is underway
  • Laying the groundwork for a scalable bid function as we continue to grow

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What we're looking for

  • A track record of building or significantly overhauling a bid/proposal function from a fragmented starting point, not just producing individual proposals
  • Experience in enterprise SaaS or B2B tech, ideally with exposure to SOWs, security/compliance annexes, and multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles
  • Comfort working autonomously with ambiguity, you'll be creating the playbook, not following one
  • Strong systems thinking: you design process and content libraries to be maintainable and scalable, not just good-looking one-off documents
  • Ability to balance long-term build work with the pace of live, time-pressured deals
