Location: Hybrid, Bristol Working pattern: Full-time or part-time considered

We are looking for a Bid & Tender Manager to support commercial growth by identifying the right NHS and healthcare opportunities, leading high-quality submissions, and building a stronger, more scalable tender process.


About the Role

In this role, you will:

  • Manage the full bid lifecycle, from horizon scanning and opportunity assessment through to writing, submission, and review.
  • Work closely with colleagues across commercial, supply chain, quality, regulatory, finance, and compliance teams to produce clear, compliant, and compelling responses.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor NHS and healthcare procurement portals and maintain a clear opportunity pipeline.
  • Support go/no-go decisions by summarising fit, risks, requirements, and timelines.
  • Lead bids, tenders, frameworks, supplier questionnaires, and related procurement documents.
  • Coordinate input from internal stakeholders and manage submission plans and approvals.
  • Write and edit strong, accurate, and compliant responses.
  • Build and maintain a reusable bid library and document control process.
  • Capture feedback and lessons learned to improve future submissions.

Requirements

Essential

  • Experience managing bids, tenders, or proposals end to end.
  • Strong understanding of NHS or public sector procurement.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Confidence in working with senior stakeholders and subject matter experts.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Desirable

  • Experience in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, healthcare, or another regulated environment.
  • Knowledge of NHS procurement frameworks and portals.
  • Experience with sustainability, social value, business continuity, or supply chain assurance content.
  • APMP, CIPS, or similar bid/procurement training.
