£55,000 plus car / car allowance, 33 days holiday, pension, bonus, life assurance, employee assistance programme, wellbeing support, and flexible benefits including cycle to work scheme

About The Role

Your role is critical to securing Unipart’s future success in Strategic and Public Sector Bids, across all sectors including Defence, Aerospace, Rail and more. You will be involved in an array of Unipart's largest strategic/public sector bids. The core purpose of the role is to translate complex logistics, engineering, and digital solution designs into high-scoring, compliant, and compelling narrative responses. You will act as the lead pen for technical quality submissions, interviewing Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to extract raw intelligence and turning it into a ‘Gold Standard’ submission that meets the rigorous requirements of strategic clients. You will hold an existing understanding of defence bidding in the public sector environment.

As Part Of Your Key Responsibilities, You’ll

  • Draft, edit, and proofread high-quality technical responses on strategic public sector bids - ensuring all narratives are articulate, concise, and persuasive
  • Proactively interview and interrogate internal Subject Matter Experts (Operations, IT, HR, Supply Chain) to extract the technical detail required to answer complex questions
  • Analyse tender questions to break down requirements, ensuring every sentence contributes to the scoring methodology and full compliance with customer standards
  • Lead storyboard sessions to structure answers before writing begins, ensuring the ‘Win Strategy’ and ‘Ghosting’ of competitors are embedded in the draft
  • Manage the feedback loop from shipley review stages, specifically addressing criticism to improve the score of the final document
  • Convert internal Unipart terminology into client-facing benefits
  • Manage the rigorous document control required for high-security bids, ensuring security classification handling
  • Incorporate knowledge of the sector landscapes into responses to demonstrate deep customer understanding

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
