Job Title: Bid Writer

Location: Hybrid (Runcorn/Home, with travel to manufacturers and depot sites)
Salary: Competitive with excellent benefits
Working Pattern: Full-time, Permanent

About Us:

PHOENIX Medical Supplies is one of the UK’s leading providers of healthcare and pharmaceutical distribution services. Through our Pharma Services division, we partner with manufacturer clients to deliver innovative, efficient, and compliant commercial solutions that drive growth across the healthcare supply chain.

As part of our ongoing expansion, we are seeking a Bid Writer to lead the bid process from end to end — identifying opportunities, developing winning proposals, and driving new business that strengthens our position as the first-choice partner for manufacturer clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, qualify, and manage tender opportunities across the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors.
  • Develop winning bid strategies that align with PHOENIX’s commercial and financial objectives.
  • Project manage the full proposal development process — coordinating inputs from commercial, finance, marketing, and supply chain teams.
  • Ensure all bids are high-quality, compliant, and submitted on time.
  • Build and maintain a comprehensive Tender Library to streamline future submissions and manufacturer onboarding.
  • Lead the development of a Pharma Services Digital Strategy, enhancing tools such as Partnerweb and CRM while exploring new digital solutions.
  • Collaborate across the business to ensure the Pharma Services proposition is simple, effective, and easy to implement.
  • Drive the creation of a Marketing & Communication Trade Plan to increase brand awareness and market presence.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
