Bid Writer
Location: Home based with travel to midlands once per month
Salary Range: £35,000 - £40,000
Bid Solutions is recruiting a Bid Writer on behalf of a well-established independent charity delivering advice, health and legal services across the East Midlands and West Midlands, with national remote services too.
Our client's funding team has a strong track record of winning bids that keep vital services running for thousands of people across the region. With continued growth, they're now looking for a Bid Writer with around 3 years' experience to join that team and build a career in public sector tendering.
The role
You'll work closely with an experienced Proposal Manager and the wider bid team, contributing to larger submissions and managing smaller ones independently, while developing your expertise in commissioning, service design and competitive tendering.

Day to day, you'll:
- Write, edit and improve tender responses and supporting documents
- Develop clear, persuasive content that demonstrates impact and outcomes
- Produce supporting materials such as case studies and summaries
- Work with colleagues across operations, finance and partnerships to gather information and translate it into structured written responses
- Support coordination of tenders, timelines and requirements, and manage submission and record-keeping
- Research funders, services and local need to strengthen bid content
- Support joint bids with partner organisations
About you

- Around 3 years' experience in bid writing
- A track record contributing to or supporting high-quality submissions (bids, tenders, or funding applications)
- Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills
- Able to distil complex information into clear, concise responses
- Well organised, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Comfortable collaborating across teams
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
Desirable
- Experience of public sector tendering or commissioning
- Knowledge of health, social care, advice or community services
- Experience in or with the voluntary sector
- APMP Foundation (or willingness to work towards it)
