Bid Writer

Fully Remote Working

Our Company is seeking a Bid Writer to produce high-quality, client-focused proposal content that clearly articulates our value proposition. Working closely with the Head of Bid Management, Bid Managers, and subject matter experts across the business, you will contribute to the successful delivery of complex, high-value bid submissions.

This role operates within a collaborative, deadline-driven environment and requires strong written communication, stakeholder engagement, and commercial awareness.

Job Description:

Key responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading storyboard and content-planning sessions with bid teams and key stakeholders
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with subject matter experts across the business
  • Supporting Bid Managers in defining proposal structures aligned to client requirements
  • Reviewing, refreshing, and tailoring pre-written content where appropriate
  • Writing, editing, and finalising proposal responses to agreed RFP deadlines, escalating risks where required
  • Integrating contributions from sales, marketing, product, finance, legal, commercial, and delivery teams into clear and compelling responses
  • Coaching contributors on bid-writing best practice and quality standards
  • Submitting new and updated content to the knowledge base for future reuse
  • Contributing to the ongoing improvement of bid templates and written standards

Essential skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience working across the end-to-end bid or proposal process
  • Proven ability to develop clear, persuasive written content aligned to client needs
  • Experience supporting complex or high-value bids
  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to adapt tone and messaging for different audiences
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders and managing competing priorities
  • The ability to work to fixed deadlines within a structured bid environment
  • Experience using digital tools (including AI-enabled tools) to improve efficiency and quality

Desirable skills and experience

The following would be advantageous, but are not essential:

  • Experience within professional services, financial services, pensions, or regulated environments
  • Exposure to formal bid governance processes
  • Experience contributing to bid knowledge management or content libraries
