As a company focused on electric vehicle charging and smart mobility solutions, it manufactures, installs, owns, and operates charging infrastructure designed to make EV adoption more practical and accessible. This is an opportunity to join a business working at the intersection of utilities, mobility, and the low-carbon transition.
In this role, you will help shape how Connected Kerb presents its value to customers and partners through high-quality bid and proposal content. You will play an important part in turning complex commercial, technical, and operational information into clear, persuasive submissions that support growth and strengthen the company's position in a competitive market.
Responsibilities
- Proposal Development: Develop high-quality, persuasive, and compliant bid proposals in response to tender invitations, requests for proposals (RFPs), and other business opportunities. This includes conducting thorough research, understanding client requirements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information.
- Content Creation: Write and edit proposal content, ensuring clarity, coherence, and consistency in messaging. Articulate the value proposition, key differentiators, and benefits of our organization's products/services, aligning them with the needs and priorities of the target audience.
- Research and Analysis: Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer insights to gain a deep understanding of industry trends, client expectations, and market demands. Use this information to tailor bid proposals and enhance our competitive advantage.
- Compliance and Documentation: Ensure that bid proposals comply with all requirements, guidelines, and specifications set forth by clients, funding bodies, and regulatory authorities. Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather technical data, certifications, references, and other supporting documents needed for the proposal.
- Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, project managers, subject matter experts, and finance departments, to gather information, review proposal drafts, and obtain necessary approvals. Collaborate to develop accurate pricing, project plans, and implementation strategies.
- Proposal Strategy: Contribute to the development of bid strategies, win themes, and value propositions. Identify and highlight the unique selling points and differentiators of our organization's offerings to increase the likelihood of success in competitive bidding situations.
- Quality Assurance: Review and proofread bid proposals to ensure accuracy, coherence, and compliance with formatting guidelines. Edit and refine content for grammar, style, and clarity, paying attention to details and maintaining a professional tone.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with industry trends, bid writing best practices, and evolving requirements. Seek opportunities to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the bid writing process, including the development of templates, tools, and standardised content.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
