Bid Writer / Business Development Coordinator
Location: Head Office, Rochdale (Hybrid – branch network & remote working)
Salary: £35K–£45K DOE plus Bonus
Contract: Full Time, Permanent

If you've got a background in bid writing or business development, and want to bring your skills to a growing, values-led care provider, this role could be perfect for you.
We’re looking for a Bid Writer / Business Development Coordinator to join Routes Healthcare’s BD team. You’ll take ownership of the tender pipeline end-to-end—from identifying opportunities on procurement portals through to drafting, coordinating, and submitting winning bids—while also supporting research, events, and CRM activities.

Key Responsibilities
Bid Creation & Submission
- Lead the writing and submission of tender responses for LA, NHS, and private commissioners
- Manage the full bid lifecycle, from opportunity identification to post-tender feedback
Content & Collaboration
- Maintain a library of bid content, case studies, and quality statements
- Coordinate input from Registered Managers, clinical leads, and senior leadership
Business Development Support
- Monitor procurement portals for new opportunities
- Update supplier profiles regularly
- Provide research and CRM administration support
Events & Engagement
- Assist in planning and delivering commissioner days, networking events, and sector conferences
- Support BD presentations and pitches

What We’re Looking For
Essential
- 3–5 years’ experience in tender writing, bid management, or business development—ideally in health and social care, homecare, or a regulated sector
- A proven track record of successful bid submissions
- Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely to word limits
- Strong organisational skills and multitasking ability—managing multiple deadlines under pressure
- Experience using procurement portals to track and respond to opportunities
- Confidence in engaging senior stakeholders to gather necessary input
Nice to Have
- Full UK driving licence with a business-insured vehicle
