Based in Manchester or Leeds

An international, full-service law firm is seeking a Bids Manager to join its established, high-performing Bids Team. With a long-standing global client base, award-winning innovation, and a modern, inclusive culture, the firm continues to expand across Europe and the Middle East, creating strong opportunities for growth and collaboration.

This role focuses on helping Partners win major opportunities by delivering persuasive, high-quality pitches and proposals. You’ll work closely with Senior Bids Managers, BD colleagues, Partners, and specialists across the business, supporting a wide range of bids — from routine mandates to complex panel appointments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading and challenging Bid/No Bid decisions
  • Advising partners on bid strategy and shaping compelling propositions
  • Project-managing the full bid process, including scoping, content development, messaging, and reviews
  • Developing pricing propositions in partnership with the Pricing Team
  • Collaborating with Design on high-quality bid materials
  • Coaching teams ahead of pitch presentations
  • Conducting internal and client debriefs and sharing best practice
  • Contributing to bid content libraries and supporting account growth
  • Working with BD teams across sectors, clients, marketing, and communications
  • Supporting continuous improvement of systems, processes, and use of Generative AI

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong experience managing bids to tight deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail and editorial skills
  • Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of pricing models
  • Confidence to challenge constructively and drive improvements
  • A collaborative, proactive team player
  • Competent in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; familiarity with Generative AI tools is a plus
  • Flexibility to travel between UK offices when required
